In the fall of 2019, at the X019 exhibition, it was announced that Rust would be released on the console. And just recently British development studio Double Eleven announced the release date of the game - May 21. The release is scheduled for Xbox One and PS4.
Developers had to face an important optimization problem while reducing the minimum requirements to run Rust on consoles. Double 11 said and that now the number of the required amount of RAM has decreased from 10 GB required for the PC, up to 4.5 GB. For this achievement, most of the game had to be rewritten in the Unity engine and this led to the fact that the first launch of the game lasted a whole 45 minutes. But after a long work with optimization, the developers were able to reduce the time to 1 minute.
