Rust - Poker tables, gesture system and Easter event

 Recently, the users of the survival project Rust received another monthly update , along with which the team from Facepunch Studios added additional content, as well as expanded the gameplay capabilities of their brainchild.


The first novelty was a full-fledged gesture system, presented in the form of a pop-up menu and allowing survivors to communicate with each other using simple emotions. The second feature of the April update is the poker tables. They complemented the interior of the casino located in Bandit Town and invite everyone to while away the time playing cards. One party can participate from two to six people.


In addition, a themed event dedicated to Easter has begun, which consists in finding and collecting decorated eggs. Also, the assortment of the store was replenished with “cosmetics” corresponding to the event.

Dying Light - Items from Rust in a new collaboration

 The turbulent situation in Harran attracted the attention of scientists from the survival project Rust , who arrived with the intention of studying the virus, and their desire to research the deadly pathogen was the beginning of a new collaboration that started in the vastness of the zombie action Dying Light .


As part of this event, a free Rust Weapon Pack was released , including a range of themed items - the Heavy Armor outfit, the Reforged Cleaver ax, a homemade submachine gun, a rusty assault rifle, and a Rusty Bucket buggy skin. In addition, in the city itself, the Raisa bandits await, the murder of which in the amount of one million is a common goal for all users and is rewarded with blueprints for C4 elemental explosives. In the personal offset, there are tasks for collecting trash and raids on outposts that can bring kits with plastids and schemes for golden weapons from the aforementioned DLC.


The event will last only one week and will end on April 26 at 20:00 Moscow time. A similar event for console owners will take place in May.

Rust - Drone Delivery and Beginner Mode Coming Soon

 In a few days, on February 4, the creators of the Rust survival project will install the next content update on the servers, so in anticipation of this event, the producer of the project decided to share details about what the Facepunch Studios team has prepared for the current February.


The first innovation of the upcoming update should be drones. These unmanned aerial vehicles are intended for the delivery of goods, but the terminals with them are planned to be located only within the safe zone.


The second feature of the patch is Softcore realms, where “softer” rules are in effect, for example, when a character dies, he does not lose all equipment, and bandit camps can serve as a respawn point. Such worlds will receive experimental status and will gradually develop based on the feedback received by the developers.

Rust - The underground metro network appeared in the game

 The team at Facepunch Studios continues to support their highly popular survival project, Rust , with monthly updates on a regular basis. March was no exception, and therefore the developers presented another content patch .


So, the main innovation of the update was the underground railway network, which is a kind of interpretation of the metro and allows you to quickly move between the entrances to the tunnel system scattered around the map and located mainly next to the monuments. However, the station has not only the function of movement, they are also a source of various prey, however, those who want to profit should be wary of the local inhabitants.


In addition, three slot machines and a whole host of different improvements and fixes have been added.

Rust - A fire destroyed some of the European servers. Data is irretrievably lost

 British Facepunch will have to distract from the recently launched PTA of the console version of the survival simulator Rust  and deal with the consequences of the emergency.


There was a fire this morning at the OVH data center in Strasbourg, France. None of the employees were injured, but the fire completely destroyed one building (SBG-2) and partially the second (SBG-1). Firefighters are now working at the scene. Including disabled 25 European Rust servers.


The studio expects a large amount of data loss and promises to provide details at a later date. On PC, the game went into early access back in 2013, and a full release took place in 2018. 


Rust: Console Edition is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this year.
